It seems that the properties are reset at the end of each (de)crescendo, so it seems you have to specify it again every time. However, you can save same key strokes by using the predefined macro \cresc. For example \cresc c d e f \! is equivalent to c \setTextCresc \< d e f \! Question to the bug-l

Hi, I am using Lilypond 2.4.2. When I say \setTextCresc I get a "cresc. - - -" crescendo - but only once. Then it reverts to a hairpin. What is the "correct" way to set a score-wide default to get text rather than hairpins? (Or do I just have to say \setTextCresc before every \< ?) Thanks, I
