My memory may be faulty but I thought lilypond when compiling reports
on missing fonts. Version 2.20.0 does not. Is there a way to enable
this instaed of only silently substituting (which sometimes I don't
notice when in a hurry).

Oh, yes, it does.
I've thought something like that, but wasn't shure. :-)
Thanks and Best Regards

Hi,
with version 2.8.2-2
lilypond-book works quite fine, and the output is okay, as far as I can
see, but I get the following message:

That may be it
The file structure is somewhat different in the teTeX 3 distribution
compared to teTeX 2. The corresponding changes were introduced for the
LilyPond files in version 2.4.5, but maybe the ec fonts package that
you use hasn't been updated correspondingly?

Hi:
I think I may have seen something about this on the list already. I
can't seem to find the pertinent posts.
When running the combination of Lilypond 2.4.5 and teTeX 3.0 under
Linux, Lilypond can't seem to find the ec fonts. The .ps and .pdf files
are missing all those fonts.
I can get someth

Oh, so that's
This all looks OK! If you built Lilypond yourself, you
also have to build Type1 versions of the fonts to get
good-looking PDF files. To do that, you need to install
mftrace (see INSTALL.txt) and run
- make pfa-fonts
- make MAKE_PFA_FILES=1 install
(these instructions should definitely be in INSTAL

I don't have an answer but some question that might help
us figure why it doesn't work:
- What is the environment variable $TEXMF set to?
- What does the command 'kpsewhich feta20.mf' return?
- Have you checked the .pdf file produced by ly2dvi -p?
Does it look OK?
- Is the .ps file OK if you use
