don't you let Lilyponds built-in functions take place!?
\repeat volta 2 { … } \repeat volta 2 { … } already sets the correct bars!
with more than one \bar override Lilypond will only print the last bar
instruction encountered.

Depending on context, a particular begin-repeat sign or end-repeat sign will
refuse to print even though others are printing fine within the same document.
