Fr Michael, I'm using 2.11.62. Then on your second (and subsequent) Lyric contexts you'll want to use \new Lyrics \with { \override VerticalAxisGroup #'minimum-Y-extent = #'(X . -Y) } where you can adjust the numbers X and Y according to your aesthetic taste/needs. Hope this helps!
