Because it compiles with 2.18., I've put it in LSR, tagging it docs,
so that it will appear in the snippets.

Hi Harm,
Thank you ever so much for this additional information. Now I can do anything
and everything with these marvellous flared ties and my scores will look
positiveiy wonderful with this capability.
Anybody doing contemporary scores is bound to want flared ties. This function

Hi Dimitris,
The code for flared ties that Thomas pointed you to was in reply to my request
very similar to yours some time ago. I use this code extensively and it works
fine up to and including 2.19.38. So you can be confident in its use.
You may be interested to know that the reason I need it
l test the flat ones to see if they free up some
space.

I think for now (the current project) I'll try to find a setting that
matches *most* cases and tweak the others manually. There are pretty

ones in this score so it'll be OK. But maybe this really is a feature
request for a new property?

I don't seem to be able to find the right property to control the shape
of ties.
I would like to make the default appearance of ties less flat than what
you see in the first attachment. I *think* what I want is having a
steeper slope. But reading through the IR for tie and tie-interface I

I want to make ties use a flared horizontal bracket instead of a curved
slur shape for a contemporary score I am setting. How does one go about
this sort of transformation?
