I've used LilyPond myself for typesetting music on IMSLP. I'd say the parts came out very well, although, I've only contributed two parts, with a few I'm working on now. You can find my two contributed scores at [1]. In my opinion, the LilyPond scores look much nicer than the commercial typeset
