I really want to be able to create a score in LilyPond and export it as an
SVG file, and just open the SVG in Inkscape and have it look identical to
how it looked in LilyPond.

For what it's worth I never managed to get InkScape correctly read the
fonts from any LilyPond output on a Windows box.

I checked Windows Update and it seems I'm current to this day w/ updates -
what does that mean for the bug? Do I still have to uninstall something?
Fonts still are rendering in Inkscape as "plain" and not the way they appear
in LilyPond. All I did was SVG export/save, import
There was a windows update recently which broke the fonts, this has now
been fixed with a more recent update. It gave me trouble last month too -
