I just tried a number of different examples with
lilypond --preview
and the resulting *.preview.png always included just the
first line of the score and the title. Could you please
send an example to [EMAIL PROTECTED] where you get a whole
page.

In order to obtain images without surrounding white spaces, I still
use a
Since version 2.0.0 the "ly2dvi"-script was renamed to "lilypond" and
"lilypond" to "lilypond-bin".

the script ly2dvi now has changed to lilypond, and the lilypond
binary is now called lilypond-bin.
