I dont understand about half the messages on this list as people
are doing so many different thing with lilypond but if you just
want a score or part of a score in some kind of image format
here are some command line options
lilypond --format=png filename.ly
lilypond --format=svg filename.ly
enter}
\includegraphics[height=1cm]{images/1}
\caption[1]{1}
\end{center}
\end{figure}
and in the end:
\listoffigures
I hope this is clear.
