Just a side question: do you believe that your work (and talent) on
LilyPond might have helped convince Google's people at Google to hire
you?

upwards of 100 EUR per hour for work; that severely limited the amount
of people interested in sponsoring changes. IIRC, Trevor Baca was
responsible for almost half of my revenue.

I'm kind of burned out as a developer in GIS and Flash techologies
and was thinking it could be fun to work for
