2. Can I generate a score as a single horizontal line rather than as multiple lines and pages? Try to set raggedright=##t in the \layout{...} block. Then you have to figure out how to get the corresponding page size. By the way, have you seen http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/lilypond-devel/20
