Easiest to save both files in the same folder
(directory). If you have a lot of files in
separate folders, you can put your preferences
in a separate folder, but you need to add a
search path to the default LilyPond arguments.
On Windows, it might be something like this:
--include=C:/Documents
y/folder you could
define this with
-I, --include=DIR
or even use
-i, --init=FILE
when invoking lilypond
