Dear Philippe and Hraban, could you both please send me (privately) the log files of the failing upgrade/install? MacPorts should tell you where to find it in the error message. I would like to fix the compilation of portmidi. If this will not be possible I'll make it optional. Best wishes. David

Hello Davide, on my system (OSX 10.9) frescobaldi(-devel) fails because portmidi doesn’t compile - I see lots of C errors in the log. I completely re-installed MacPorts (and that’s a lot). Can you make the MIDI stuff optional? Perhaps via a variant +no-midi? Greetlings, Hraban --- fiëé visuëll
