Last year I put together a package of templates to make it easy to use
the templates in the documentation. I tried to make it easy to install.
As you know LilyPond is a moving target but they still work for me as
they stand.
They may prove useful to others. I know I had a great deal of fun putt

If you are using \alternative with repeat, you would only use that with
volta? That's the only way I've used it, but maybe others have used the
other sorts of repeat with \alternative?

I am presently doing a piece for our local singing group, which has two
parts. But for a short section the altos split into two parts. So during
that refrain there are three, not two parts.
I did a basic Lilypond file without the second alto part which worked well
with the lyrics I entered. So far

I've been thinking about using fret diagrams in various lead sheets for
singing and finding it awkward to use fret diagrams. If I wrote a fret.ly
file with my usual set of frets in it can I include it as you would files
such as english.ly etc?
Actually I know you can do this; probably what I'm as

I have a vocal score which has three parts soprano, alto and tenor. I
thought the easiest way to tackle it was to write the notes out separately
from the repeats. That worked well for the written score (which I used to
check my work) But the problem comes when I try to unfold the repeats for

Hello,
I was hoping somebody would point me to the place in the documentation
where it shows how to shorten a volta bracket. I've seen it, but can't
find it again..

I am using lilypond 2.7.10.
I'm trying to type set a repeat segment which has a structure like this.
music ||: music [ small music for 2nd & 3rd time only] music :||
I can cope with the repeats but how would I put the bracketted section in?
The brackets go over two staff as it's a piano score and

Ah, yes, I see now.

Is there a way of increasing the size of the lyrics without actually
increasing the staff size? I've looked on the archives and through the
documentation, but perhaps I've just missed it, or it's not possible.
