compose a song in lilypond to make a midi to play in a sequencer using

If you are using \alternative with repeat, you would only use that with
volta? That's the only way I've used it, but maybe others have used the
other sorts of repeat with \alternative?

Is there a difference? Does it make a difference whether the repeat

I use lilypond 2.8.0 on Ubuntu.

I don't suppose you want the whole thing, but maybe you'd like to compile
it to see where the words are out of order.

I was hoping somebody would point me to the place in the documentation

I did so and then reinstalled guile. After this things seemed to go

Is there a way of increasing the size of the lyrics without actually
increasing the staff size? I've looked on the archives and through the
documentation, but perhaps I've just missed it, or it's not possible.

PS Before I sent this I did one further experiment. I
\mark \markup {" " \raise #3.0 \musicglyph #"sript-coda"}
And it worked. Maybe this will be useful for others.
But I'd still like to know how to use the padding

I've read throught the documentation but I don't see anythng like this
described.
