Is it possible to manually set the page number with which lilypond begins when
it engraves its page numbers for a given score? Perhaps a means analogous to
that by which one can manually set the bar number with which lilypond begins
when it engraves its bar numbers for a given score:
\set Score.
Depending on context, a particular begin-repeat sign or end-repeat sign will
refuse to print even though others are printing fine within the same document.
Gmane would not allow me to post a snippet, but one can be found at

When a repeated section begins in one clef and ends in another (as in the Basso
Continuo part I'm working on), it would be nice to be able to add a "reminder"
clef at the end of the repeated section, to alert the player to return to the
original clef when the repeat sign is reached.

I am producing an edition in 4/2 time, but I would like to use the traditional
symbol for cut time (ยข) rather than the numerical signature (4/2). Is there a
straightforward way to do this and still have lilypond create measures that are
4 half-notes long instead of two half-notes long?
Thanks

Thanks, Francisco! Unfortunately when I try to implement this code, lilypond
fails to recognize \postscript. I'm in v.2.10.33-1, so I

Indeed! Thanks much. Now I just need to figure out how to straightforwardly
adjust staff sizes between the different movements.
Set Global-Staff-Size
does a nice job adjusting everything at once, but it seems this comm
I would like to set two short movements of a piece on the same page, but with
different line-widths (one movement's lines set at 18cm, the other's left to
vary with the text). What is the easiest way to implement this, within a single
score? Can I apply a unique

This question is answered in the second example of the section on
Dynamics in the manual. Peter, can you provide a hint on how to make it
even more clear?

I am interested in making phrasing slurs that are (graphically, not
rhythmically) dotted or dashed, in order to differentiate them visually from
ordinary legato slurs (to be represented with solid slurs). Is there a way to

Occasionally a crescendo or decrescendo needs to begin not at the commencement
of a note's duration, but rather halfway through the note. Can such a situation
be properly typeset using lilypond? If so, how?
