The current documentation states that \alternative outside is the older

The following behaves as expected:
\repeat volta 2 {
c1
\alternative {
{ d1 }
{ e1 }
}
}
... and produces a repeat section with alternate ending brackets; however,
if an unfold is added thus:
\repeat volta 2 {
\repeat unfold 2 { c1 }
\alternative {
{ d
.

I have a book of scores and parts and would like to ensure that two-page
parts are always printed on opposite pages, so there's no page turn. Is
there a straightforward way to automatically add a blank page if the
previous part/score ends on a left page?

appears that it's no longer available...

Hello!
First things first: I'm not planning any commercial ventures. This is a
personal project, and I'm happy to share any details with others interested
in something similar.
In brief, I wanted to see if I could simplify and speed up the process of
transcribing music into LilyPond, and it seems

parts are 18 or 20, but I apparently need to use several overrides which
may or may not result in the same output that would result from
set-global-staff-size or a functional layout-set-staff-size.

Alternatively, in the command index, descriptions of how or at the very
least *when* each command can be used would be a drastic improvement.

Is there a way that I can create a template file that I can \include which
has a layout and basic parameters which are common between my scores?
Alternatively, since I use jEdit, is there something I can append to the
compile command that would achieve the same thing? The idea here is that I

Where can be found the parameters that can be set using \with { }? Can I
set the rehearsal mark style there, or do I have to use \set
Score.markFormatter ?
