Please excuse me! Didn't know about the forwarding.
I finally downloaded 2.6.2 package, installed it but got the same problem:

Hi!
Just in case it's worth noting, I'm using Mandrake 10.0 with 2.6.3-7
kernel. Please tell me if I need to supply more info about my system.
Thank you,
Luis.

Hi!
I had installed 2.4.2 some time ago; it was very hard for me (and for
you, as you had to help me through the list :-)).
Now, I downloaded the .package file of 2.6.1. Everything went fine,
but when I want to run lilypond, I get the following message:

Hi!
Thank you very much for your reply!
I finally moved the file "buildscripts/out/lilypond-profile" to a
location the script advice to do, and now I can do "lilypond" as a
regular user! (too bad I moved it instead of just copying: now I don't

Ouch! :-) You are absolutely right; I truly apologize for it.
I did "make" and "make install" despite the errors, run "mktexlsr" and
the script for erasing old fonts... I even uninstalled my previous 2.2
rpm lilypond... and now I think it works!!! THANK

You are GREAT! Yes, that was the problem :-)
Now I get another one, but think that I can solve it. The problem is
that when I do "make", I get:
-

Hi! :-)
I am trying to install lilypond version 2.4.2 (I currently have 2.2.0),
but can't finish "configure" correctly. After downloading and installing
everything needed (I think... :-)), I get this message:
