When you include a MIDI block in the Lilypond file, it automatically produces a
MIDI file along with the pdf.

Hi Francois,If you are patient, I am looking into developping a utility that will process midi files so that they convert more cleanly. I think there is a sort of consistency in the file structure that lilypond is looking for in the midi file format, and once it is clear, it should be much simpler
