Hello,
I have a lilypond-book document that contains four short pieces of
music. All of the music uses the same tempo (quarter note = 90). I'd
like to just print the tempo indication once, and not for each piece. I
thought I saw a method to print a quarter note, an equals sign and '90',
in a way s

Any thoughts on this question?
I thought that there was a command that could 'detach' a section of
lyrics from the music for a specified time. Does this sound familiar to
anyone? Would this work in this case?
Thanks for your suggestions.

Thanks for your help on my first problem. It emboldens me to ask about
another problem I'm having. And here, I can show a snippet. This is from

Hello. I'm trying to set a congregational handout for liturgical music.
The appearance I want for one piece of the music is:
Refrain: music and lyrics
Verses: text-only verses 1-3 in three columns
Music and lyrics
Verse 4, text only
Right now, I'm able to achieve this with:

My assumption so far is that I could create just one file per tune, and then combine

Contra dance bands typically play the same short tune over and over (20-40 times
wouldn't be unusual). They'll often combine a medley of two or three tunes. What the
preferred way of producing a single piece of paper with two or three tunes? Reading

That's a good suggestion, Mats, and one that I keep forgetting about. I'll experiment
with it on my machine and see if it would be less trouble than having my friend

I'm trying to format the tagline into two lines, the original "Engraved by...", then a
linefeed and my text. I stumbled upon the '\break" command, which sets my line under
the standard line, but the first line is trying to be fully-justified, and is widely
spaced.

Thanks, again.

I'm trying to work with a friend, a Windows user, and don't want to install Cygwin +
Lilypond on his PC.
Thanks for your thoughts. I'm looking forward to learning more about this software.
