Hi,
I'm typesetting Renaissance music and I'm trying to show a mensural time
signature followed by a proportion, i.e. "cut 'tempus perfectum' 3/2", as here
appears on page 2:

Hi everyone, I apologize for banal question.
I am in trouble in writing different time signatures with equal measures.
Here is the example (it is the Gig from Corelli's sonata n. 10).
Where is the mistake?
Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone,
I should need a dashed horizontal bracket.
I have tried with
\override HorizontalBracket #'style = #'dashed-line
g1\startGroup f1\stopGroup
but it does not work.
Has someone any suggestion?
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone. I'm typesetting a choral piece with a 4 parts refrain and a
monodic verse, and I have this structure:
\book {
%%% REFRAIN
\score { \new StaffGroup
<<\new Staff \staffSoprano
\new Staff \staffAlto
\new Staff \staffTenor
Is it possible, in figured bass, having just an accidental in brackets
instead of the whole figure?
For example:
[#]6
4
I tried with this, but the result isn't nice:
<\markup { [ \teeny \sharp ] \tiny \number 6} 4>
Thanks in advance!

I'm sorry for my telegraph-style question: is it possible to start a
piece with, e.g. 3 staves ad add one more some measures later?
Thank you

I found that MusiXteX has single-digit with vertical slash time
signature glyphs - they are used in ancient music.
If Lilypond doesn't have them, could I add the vertical slash manually?
Thank you.

I have a problem which was also reported by Franz-Rudolf Kuhnen some
times ago.
Lilypond places by default articulation symbols below the slurs.
So, if I try to mark a trill by a "+" (like in ancient French music),
and above the note with trill there's a slur, the agrement is placed
below the
I read in the manual that "Figured bass can also be added to Staff
contexts directly. In this case, their vertical position is adjusted
automatically."
If I have created the file "bass.ly" which contains only the bass part
(bass = /notes/ ) and I want numbers to appear in another file (e.g.

I'm editing a three-part fugue, and I'm typing notes in three separate
files. The first voice starts with a partial measure, so the two first
maesures are:
\partial8*7 g'8 bes g a a c bes16 a
bes8 ees ees ees a, d d d
The second voice enters at measure 2. As the first measure has to be

Yes, that's exactly the command I was looking for!
The manual is not very clear about it, so I
Hi.
I'm trying to insert movement titles in the beginning of measure.
For example, I have the following file called "example.ly":

example = \relative c'' {

}
\score {
\new Staff \example
\layout { }

Hi everyone!
I'm editing an early-18th-century French composition.
As in French baroque music 3/4 time is written just by a great "3", I'd
like to know if it exist in LilyPond a command to this sign.
Thank you... :-)
