If Qemu works under Leopard (I haven't upgraded yet), installing a Linux distro in a virtual machine could be a workaround. Definitely a sub-optimal one, but if lack of LilyPond is a serious trial, that will solve it. (Or if you're already running Parallels or VMWare or something else of the sort,
