Hello-
In general Lilypond has gotten so technical that I can't even follow the
questions.however I use it (older version) and am generally pleased
with what I can understand.
However

If you can send an image of the result you want, there's a good chance
someone on the list could find a way to code it. Here's an example of
what's possible, portions of the C. Cardew "Treatise" score as coded

You are too quick for me. :)
Anyway, this works now. Unfortunately it is only a part of the problem
of free standing notes in free time. :/
Thanks.

Sorry for the typo (but surely you could have figured out the problem?!):
\version "2.20"
{ c''2\=1(\=2(\=3( d''4\=1) g''\=3) e''\=2) }
Cheers,

How? The following does not work for meh (gives a warning about slurs
and only one slur visible):
\version "2.20"
{ c(( d) e) }

Thanks, but that's only half the way. I want to write notes that do
not fit in the quaver/semiquaver scheme but start instantly at time,
say 1:37:158 and stop an 1:47:13. So the position and
Hello Gonsolo,
You can multiple, simultaneous slurs as of the recent versions of LP.

Hi Lydia,
1. I want to put a note in the upper right hand corner of page 2 of
the same score without
going through rigamarole of copying a new file just for the last
system of the score.
There must be an easy way to include an annotation on p. 2. I have
included the note on p.2 [Kievan
Hi G.
When I write unmetered music, my template is as joined. (It's for piano, so
might need to be adapted.)

Is it possible to write music in Lilypond in free time and if yes how?
I have a piece without metrum where notes with a specific pitch appear
at a specific time and have a specific length (see the attached
picture) but there is no metrum.
How to write something like this in Lilypond?
I found infor
Actually, this doesn't work. I don't even see any path called
/custom-music-fonts. Maybe this function got indeed moved in the meantime?

I think the best stuff currently avaible is what Jacques is working on
in the (external) `libmusicxml` git repository (in the `lilypond`
