I need to typeset a small note in parentheses, but parentheses usually
render so small as to be very unclear. I've tried various combinations
of \huge \large, \tiny, \parenthesize and \tweak to get a *small* note
within *large* parentheses, but nothing has worked! Any ideas? TIA!

I have a score on which I'm using showLastLength to only generate the
last ten bars. As I add bars and run Lilypond, every so often I get the
error below and the score won't build until I change the number of bars
for showLastLength. What is the error indicating? I had a quick look at

Yes that's why it is said to use 2 different \score blocks:
one for the PDF output (with only \layout ) and another one for the
MIDI (with \unfoldRepeats and \midi only).
It is easier if you used variables for your music expression.
For example:

Hi all,
I've realized that a tied harmonic note in TabStaff keeps the angle

I suppose this is not intended and in my opinion brackets should be
removed.
Hi Federico,
you are right, the brackets have

This example:
\score {
\drums {
\repeat volta 2 { bd sn bd sn }
}
\layout { }
\midi { }
}
in Cygwin Lilypond \version "2.12.4"
produce correct .pdf but midi file don't
contain repeat of rhythm pattern second time.
I temporary use '\repeat unfold' which work fine.

Hello,
just in case someone might be interested:
I just compiled the SVN version of geany (0.19).
Geany now supports the creation of custom filetypes, so
I created one for lilypond.
It supports syntax highlighting, and one can define commands
to invoke lilypond and a pdf viewer from the editor.
Dear lilypond users,
I am currently working on adding woodwind diagrams to lilypond, and I
would love to hear lilypond users' opinions on this project. To that end,
have provided links to two PDFs that show this new feature in action.
