I don't know if it's changed in the development version, but it used to be that instrumentName and shortInstrumentName never respected the margins, and you'd have to adjust the margins accordingly. For example, if you add indent = 0 to your /paper block, you'll notice that nothing stays out

For those who would like to use it too, I append a complete utility file that I use to copy in a file full of definitions with \includeIfAbsent, skipping the copy if the file has already been copied in with \includeIfAbsent. This utility file should be copied in with \include (not \includeIfAbsent)
