Hello,
I found it to be so fun, that I created something I've been wanting
for some time now: a beginner's tutorial for LilyPond, using jEdit.
I'd appreciate if you looked at it and told me your opinion:

First of all, if you only have a single \book{...} in your
.ly file, you could just as well remove it (the only reason
to use \book{...} is if you want several PDF output files from
one and the same .ly file).
For the page breaks, the solution outlined in

Hi, I have a problem while using Lilypond 2.7.17 for Windows. Here is the

I would have used Java if I had to write this; but I expect Han-Wen to
prefer python.
I expect this new converter to be better maintained because:

- If it works, I can assure you it will be used extensively (by me, to
start with)
- Lilypond's input format h
Again, fine with me, and it seems to be reasonable.
I assume you or Han-Wen (or whoever) wouldn't use java, right?
I was never able to get Guido's xml2ly working. I'm a (basic-intermediate)
Windows user and not familiar with java. I downloaded XT preprocessor, but
didn't figure out how to make it r
I use (from one of the samples in the manual):
\score {
\layout {
indent = 0.0\cm
}
}

I am transcribing a line for piano. The following gives the right note
layout:
1 ~ << {1} \\ {2 2} >>
but it doesn't draw the ties (there should be three of them). The
problem is, as soon as I change it to something that will draw ties,
that first column of whole notes gets knocked out of

On the docs page for 2.6, the User manual link should go to

but it's currently missing the "Documentation" part. (Likewise for the
other two user manual links, actually.)
Thanks, fixed now, hopefully.
