I would rather recommend to install the non-Cygwin version
from http://lilypond.org/web/install/, unless you specifically
prefer Cygwin.
Otherwise, it's a known problem with the Cygwin version that you
have to specify a full search path to the file.

Hi,
I was wondering how I might go about making dynamic markings
(dyanmic-scripts, crescendi + decrescendi) to not have an impact on midi
output. Of course I could just have duplicate sets of data, one set with
dynamics, one set without.

Hi there,
I am new to this forum. I have been using Lilypond for about a month now and I have generated some nice pages. I am needing to make some chord diagrams for ukulele now.
Here is my problem: since this is a markup command, I don't know where to set the string-count parameter. I have trie

Hello.
I tried to install the latest stable. Again, like a few months
ago, I couldn't get very far with "autopackage". It fails with
the following error:

/usr/libexec/autopackage/autosu-gtk: error while loading shared libraries:

Hi, I seem to have some problems with Lilypond. For your reference, I've
attached the lilypond file and the pdf file with this e-mail.
The first problem is the position of the dynamic mark "p". As the p is for
the upper voice, how do I move it to the position above the n

I have two favorite ways to go.
My normal method is with a non-X Emacs session (I suppose Vim, Nano would
work just as well for this as emacs, but I got used to emacs first, so it
stuck). ctrl-X,ctrl-S,ctrl-Z saves and hides the window, then at the
command line, I issue the following:

I've done a slight modification of the documentation, to appear in the
next 2.7.x version. It reads:
... The latter is done with
`\compressMusic', which is used similar to `\times', but does not
create a tuplet bracket. The syntax is
\compressMusic #'(NUMERATOR . DENOMINATOR) MUSICEXPR

I think you have to add the \grace s8 at the beginning
of FluteIb part too.
(Not tested with your snippet but I've used this for a
Mozart piece a few time ago)

The grace notes in all the parts need to have the same duration, which
means that the one in the beginning of Contb should read
\grace s8*2/3
to compensate for the difference in time scales.

Yes it's me again...
Still find this tricky... Looks like the grace note problem with beginning a
score with a tuplet is also a problem with using \compressMusic
I've put in the blank grace notes in the other parts but it doesn't seem to
help..
Any help or hints appreciated yet again.
