Ok, that should be fixed somehow. Hmm.

I tried it, it does work.
1. I had to rewrite the datadir in convert-ly.py to:
datadir = 'c:/program files/lilypond/usr/share/lilypond/2.5.31'
2. create the python directory in usr/share/lilypond, with the content
from the source archive
3. run: python "c:\program files\lilypond\usr\share\conve

This one is easy; you may have found the mystery problem.
canzone.ps does not exist in the current working directory (cwd).
Chances are that cwd is wrong or it needs a directory part.
Try adding 'dir' to your .bat file, to see what files are there, and
what directory

That's half-correct. The utility is present, but it is
non-functional.
It could work when python is installed separately, but we need a
recipe for that.

Here is a more relevant explanation inclusi
I forward this question to bug-lilypond as a feature request.
In addition, my examples below show a bug.
I think it should be possible to force an accidental also
on a tied note using
\score{
\relative c' {cis ~ cis! cis cis }
}
or forcing a cautionary using
\score{
\relative c' {cis ~ cis?
I don't know a straight way to do it, but you can place a "transparent"
voice which displays only the accidentals. More or less:
\score
{
<<
{ \tieDown ais'4 ~ ais' b' des' ~ des' } \\
{
\override NoteHead #'transparent = ##t
\override Stem #'transparent = ##t
\overr
My previous link to Chopin op.1 bar 7 and following
does not give a valid demonstration of the need for
horizontal-to-the-right movement of a turn, so the example is not
really valid, sorry.
Contrary it demonstrates that the figure should "land" on the
middle note (sixteenth-note number 3) and

Anyway I am a bit confused about why the turn did not appear
between the notes c' and des'
Do you mean vertically? Or that it's partly above the flat?
