Don't put space in the filename. Rename your file 'voorbeeld mats.ly' to
'voorbeeldmats.ly' and all will be ok.

You didn't say what version of LilyPond you use, so this answer assumes
that you have version 2.4.
I have no idea on exactly what symbols and layout you want for your
notes, but here is an example that might be useful as a starting point
for your own experiments.

The Cygwin installer offers two alternative versions of the lilypond
package. I hope you don't try to double-click on the circle with arrows
when you want to select the package, since this is interpreted as two
single clicks, which means that you see the older version instead of the
2.4 version. A
