Can you bug Pedro Kroeger about this? Thanks!

Hi!
Spoiler for [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
Please get this as FYI. I know most of you have much more important
things to do now (testing). But just in case someone has too much
spare time, and is interested in electronic music typesetting (by
hobby or professional), I wanted to let you know.

I've received a number of requests for "point-and-click." I haven't
been following the discourse on the recent "point-and-click"
developments in LilyPond carefully enough, so I'm not sure what is
being asked for. Do you want a full g

That may be it
Hi !
You just have, especially with Mandrake, to install the separate package

I am a musician, and a newbie to Linux. I am running Mandrake 10.1, and
I installed lilypond with all the dependencies it asked for

Hi:
I compiled 2.4.5 from the tarball -- I'm trying to use it with tetex-3.0
under Linux. I've read the compilation instructions, and aside from a
small problem with espgs, everything seemed to go well.
I automatically source lilypond-profile when I log in, so that's not the
problem. I also run t
Is there a version of possible version in the
future using drag and drop style notation for bagpipe music? As per Piobmaster?
This is as I can't see any place on the web site which mentions support of
bagpipe notation as this style of manuscript is unique in the elements of grace
notes and m
Is there any workaround to get accents rendered in MIDI out?

I have just done a fresh install of Fedora 3 with new partitions, not over top
of RH8. The main reason was to install Lilypond as RH8 was too big a hassle.
Installation of the fonts and then Lilypond using rpm went without a hitch. I
then followed the workaround to eliminate the feta20.afm probl

What is happening is your daughter's computer is a newer version of
FreeBSD and apparently it will not compile on 5.2 systems. You can try to
force the issue by editing the file /usr/ports/print/lilypond/Makefile and
removing the 3-line section that says "BROKEN= Will not compile." and

hi ed,
(1) Would use use this application? (Feel free to just email me
directly.)
i would certainly try it out. i use texshop for my latex texts and like
it very much. i currently use jEdit for lilypond, and by the way don't
find it slow at all, as opposed to an issue which was on the list

Hello list,
I want to set fingerings above and below a massive chord to indicate
that the pianist should `borrow' the left thumb to play the lowest
note of the middle chord. (Yes, I do want the numbers to piled on top
of each other. No, I don't care about wasting vertical space.) So I

Hi!
I've been working quite successfully for about 6 months now with 2.2.2 on
my FreeBSD 5.3 system. I've been able to do about 95% of what I'd like
to, and other features, I've not worried about to date -- none of my music
is that complicated. I have been working on a Mass Setting for my

Just as Graham, I don't understand why you would want to do it
and not use spacing notes from the beginning, but if you really need
it, the best solution I see is to use \applyoutput but it requires
some knowledge in the Scheme programming language. Take a look at
the example called apply-output.ly
Since this is a usage question for the stable version of LilyPond,
I recommend to keep the discussion on the lilypond-user mailing
list.
I don't know any details about the drum support in LilyPond, but
as far as I know, the only way to get a different note head on

In addition to what I said below, please take a look at the example
called apply-output.ly in the "Regression Test" document in the
on-line documentation. In the example called note-head-style.ly,
you will find the documentation of different note head styles that
you requested in an earlier email.
I'm not sure what you mean. The Score.skipTypesetting property can be
inserted among the music for any of the instrumental (or vocal or
whatever) parts but will apply to the full score (i.e. to all parts).
As an alternative, you can add a separate voice of music like Graham
proposed with only spaci
Why not take a look at
http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.4/input/regression/out-www/collated-files.html#system-extents.ly
for a starting point. Also, take a look at the definitions of
box-grob-stencil and box-stencil in scm/stencil.scm. It shouldn't be
hard to modify them to get what you request.

The file structure is somewhat different in the teTeX 3 distribution
compared to teTeX 2. The corresponding changes were introduced for the
LilyPond files in version 2.4.5, but maybe the ec fonts package that
you use hasn't been updated correspondingly?
