Hi,
I have this font problem which existed in 1.4.x and appears to persist
in the 1.6.5 redhat rpm. I have run the buildscripts/clean-font.sh and
it appears to not make any difference.
Can anyone suggest any further efforts to eliminate the problem?

Isn't it common practice to make the citation to the
users manual when you cite a software package?
I recommend to include the URL www.lilypond.org in the
citation as well.

mats bengtsson posted a patch to the list for htis exact problem a few
months ago. it seems like it was never put into the main release.
if you can't find the patch in the archives, mail me, and i'll pass it
on to you.
