That's one of the things I've been trying. It hasn't made *any*
difference. I just now tried it with textheight = 390.0 \mm (yes, I mean
390.00 \mm not 290.0 \mm) to see wh
This all looks OK! If you built Lilypond yourself, you
also have to build Type1 versions of the fonts to get
good-looking PDF files. To do that, you need to install
mftrace (see INSTALL.txt) and run
- make pfa-fonts
- make MAKE_PFA_FILES=1 install
(these instructions should definitely be in INSTAL

I think Cygwin has a too new autoconf. You need autoconf-2.13.

LilyPond 1.6.5 is now officially available for Cygwin.
This release fixes a number of bugs, and also adds the required
depencency on ghostscript.
LilyPond prints beautiful sheet music. It produces music notation from
a description file. It excels at typesetting classical music, but you

Also, I hope you have seen in the Arpeggio examples of
http://lilypond.org/stable/input/regression/out-www/regression.html
how to get arpeggios that connects several staves.

I don't have an answer but some question that might help
us figure why it doesn't work:
- What is the environment variable $TEXMF set to?
- What does the command 'kpsewhich feta20.mf' return?
- Have you checked the .pdf file produced by ly2dvi -p?
Does it look OK?
- Is the .ps file OK if you use
You can set the vertical space used for the music with
\paper{
textheight = 285.\mm
}
or whatever height you want.

You might be able to do something like this, which adds invisible notes
that are spanned by the arpeggio:
blanknotes = { \property Thread.NoteHead \override #'transpa

Hello,
I am running the setup binary for Windows, and it cannot download setup.ini
from any of the mirrors, it just cuts off after a random amount of time and
I cannot get any farther. Has anyone else had a similar problem?
