Yes, although I don't usually do abcm2ps. In fact, I don't seem to
have abcm2ps on the machine currently. But ab

You're right in that... Removing the line

I guess the culprit is the setting of the variables $GS_LIB and/or
$GS_FONTPATH in lilypond-profile, even though I can't understand
exactly what goes wrong.

Just installed the latest/greatest lily from source on Mandrake 8.0, but
now abcm2ps (another typesetter) doesn't work when run with my
format-description. To be more precise the outputted file is not
understood by neither gv or gimp. Such a problematic postscript file
that is currently unreadable

This has been fixed in 1.5, in 1.4 you have to insert

There is! Within a score, you can say \newpage and
for the titling you could use the trick described by
Simon.

I tried to fix this problem some years ago, using similar
TeX tricks as are used in LaTeX to keep titles together
with the text. However, it seems that this solution, which
still is used in Lilypond, doesn't work correctly in all cases.
This is really hairy, perhaps we should ask some of the real
hi again,
something i've noticed when placing multiple pieces in one output file:
sometimes page breaks are inserted between piece headings and the piece
itself. is there any way to avoid this?
thanx,
simon.

Ah, that's a bug that hasn't been backported yet. Try the patch
below, latest CVS, or add the engraver property setting to
RhythmicStaffContext in the pape
Hi,
I'm trying to upgrade from a binary rpm version of 1.5.58 to compiling
1.5.63 from source. I run gcc-3.0.4 and ran the patch script to deal
with Flex incompatibility as advised in the INSTALL file . The compile
throws in the towel with this message after a good while, and I'm
wondering i
