I'm trying to do some simple bass tablature in the latest version
(2.5.24).
Attached you will find the source file I'm using and a sample output
file. The problem is that the number of lines for the tab staff is off,
and the numbers aren't centered. I actually reported this bug way back

Hi, I'm having a problem getting proper midi output. The instrument
names aren't working (Get piano sounds), and the tempo is way off. I'm
using 2.5.3

Here's another problem I've noticed. MIDI doesn't
seem to get the right instruments assigned to each track.
On yet another note: Why doesn't lily name them '.mid' files

Non-guitar tab is broken. The tab always shows 6 lines, even when fewer

One bug has become apparent to me in 2.1.22, and possibly
earlier 2.1.xx releases.
When using tablature, the number of lines on the staff should
vary based on Tabstaff.stringTunings.
Your own documentation demonstates the problem,
on the 'Non-guitar tablatures' page. There are

One thing I'd really like to be able to do is enter notes, by a fret
number. That is, specify the fret and the string, and let lily work out
what the pitch actually IS. That would greatly speed the entering of
traditional ASCII tab.

I see this as a very BAD idea. To me code (and I consider lilypond input
code) should be as self explanitory as possible. Besides, that kind of
nesting makes it WAY to easy to type the wrong number of characters (IE

Hi folks!
After seeing a request from Hans earlier today for someone to jazz up
