If you look at gitweb, you'll see a ton of merge commits. I was
told not to worry about them.

Thanks, applied. It breaks compiling, but I fixed that. (need a
menu entry)
I'm not certain this actually belongs in chapter 2, but the AU is
a mess and I'm not fussing with it yet, so it's ok.
