I recently found Gauvin Pocentek's packages for Ubuntu Breezy at
http://pocentek.perso.cegetel.net/ubuntu.php and have been using them
for a few days now. The packages are at version 2.6.5, and as far as I
know this is the easiest way to get the latest version of LilyPond on

So, I guess yours is set to four times the value mine is. Do I do:
set ulimit -n = 4096
ulimit -n 4096
This might not be the real issue, but it's worth trying.

with current 2.7 CVS, I do not get the warning (though your .ly file needs
syntactically slightly be updated for 2.7.x; see attachment).

I was going to post this stuff on Sunday, however I live in Hemel
