Hi,
Would adding some sort of keyword to define each verse in lyrics mode help
solve some of the problems users have with entering several sets of lyrics
in places?

The settings from ./configure, destilled in config.make.
Just do:
rm -fr share
make
to regenerate.
FWIW, I have been thinking of adding this kind of information in a
file called HACKING.

can come up with a trick.

You probably want to set the minimumVerticalExtent property
in your context. Maybe you also have to add the Axis_group_engraver
to make it work. I'm not sure since I see some contexts that don't
contain the Axis_group_engraver but where the minimumVerticalExtent
is set anyway.
