Lilypond 2.3 is marked as broken on freebsd. Now that I'we moved to
freebsd, I notice a lot more when the luxury of an up to date lilypond
doesn't exist. I will try to do what I can to help straighten it out
before 3.0.
Has anyone heard form Patrick Atamaniuk (the freebsd packager)? I have
had

That's it! xset/xlsfonts has nothing todo with gnome/pango fonts. It
seems gnome-font-install doesn
I checked through the bugs quickly, and I only found one bug that makes 2.3
strictly worse than 2.2, and hence prevent 3.0. That's titling-piece.ly.

lilypond-book is the way to go if you want to integrate
music examples in your (static) HTML pages.
However, if you have any intention to make it possible for
students to have LilyPond installed on your web server with
some interface that lets students write their own small scores
and process them

Urgh. `interscoreline' has no more any effect since lilypond controls
the layout of the whole page. Sigh. IMHO a major cleanup of the TeX

Thanks a lot!

As others have already reported, with the current CVS it is very easy
to exceed the TeX capacity. Reason is that the whole page is output
as a single \hbox. I suggest to change it so that a single staff line
is an \hbox.

This is related to having \bookpaper *after* \book. It still doesn't
work as I expect...

Again, this happens because \bookpaper comes after \score. Exchanging
the blocks makes it work.

Until we know what's wrong, it could be
