[FYI] "make check" on ia64

I tried running "make check" for libtool-1.4.2 under ia64 Linux (glibc-2.2.4) and got "14 of 83 tests failed". I include the results below. For comparison under i386 Linux I got "6 of 59 tests failed". If someone wants more details, please just ask. Jens PASS: cdemo-static.test PASS: cdemo-m

stopping relinking under elf/linux

Hello, It is my understanding that relinking is not needed on elf or Linux binary platforms. Further relinking actually gets in the way when making binary packages, since "make install" is usually installing into a buildroot. What is the best way to go about fixing this? Some pointers would be
