I am having an issue at my workplace that I've resolved down to
libtool behavior. Unfortunately, because of the nature of the work
I cannot access anything from there and so can't paste any of the

In libtool 2 the behaviour of the (deprecated) AC_LIB_LTDL differs from
what it was in 1.5. It now calls AC_CONFIG_SUBDIRS which it didn't do
previously.
I encountered this while building GNUnet on Gentoo Linux. There I got
this message:
