I'm new to libtool obviously. Could you point me to a place in the
manual that describes how a package can use a library from another
packages that uses libtool.
I've built libexpat. It produces,
$ ls ~/expat/prefixdir/lib

What exactly can I do about the libtool warning messages? Am I doing
something wrong? is the -enable-experimental-libtool something this list
endorses?
