I have a rather extensive patch for libtool on AIX.
It fixes a few problems in the code that is currently there,
adds support for run time linking,
adds support for AIX version 5,
adds support for AIX on IA64.
I should have it ready soon.

here is an example how to produce shared libraries with AIX4.2. Unfortunal i doent
have time to write the corosponding configfiles for libtool. exspecialy
i am not an AIX expert but the examples work. please the the README inside.
