Hi.
I want to build OO (Open Office) with the last BLFS. I had to download OO

issue here.
In the build process, I get this error message :
checking if uudecode can decode base 64 file... yes
checking if /opt/jdk/bin/
Hello,
I've tried several times to compile JDK from source via svn-20070718, but the
build always fails with the following error. This is on LFS stable with Xorg

Compiling /opt/my-java/jdk-build/hotspot/src/share/vm/utilities/accessFlags.cpp
gcc -D

After the recent thread on JDK I decided I would make an attempt at
getting it running. The BLFS page looks like it is mainly aimed at i386.
I followed the links and pulled down binaries for amd64 and the source
jars. The binary package didn't gi

everybody is enjoying his/her holiday? I guess everybody is free between
christmas and newyearseve.

My system is based on LFS6.1.1, and BLFS 6.1 with some packages from SVN.
I've gcc-3.4.3, and follow the instructions to install jdk-1.5.0.

Hi,
Here's what I did when I downloaded the binary JDK.
sed -i "s:^PATH=.*::" jdk-1_5_0_06-linux-i?86.bin

mkdir -v -p bin
ln -v -sf /bin/true bin/more
yes | PATH=$PWD/bin:$PATH ./jdk-1_5_0_06-linux-i?86.bin
cd jdk1.5.0_06
install -v
