Hi, Thanks for your answers. I have read in the manual carefully again. I am really sorry, I missed the mentioning that linux won't boot from UUID with out initrd. So I went a head and change my boot line to root=/dev/sdb1 like you suggested. However, the error still persists. I suspect it has to
