Hmm.. I wonder if you might have accidentally made /tools a symlink to
itself, rather than to /mnt/lfs/tools? If you run:
ls -ld /tools
what do you get?

I have a problem when i want to compile The Binutils package.when i issue
the "make" commond as root there is no problem and by issuing the next
commomd (make install), i encounter with this:
