I think it's good to use LiveCD to build LFS. You don't need to install Host
System (Ubuntu, etc.), just booting from the disk instead. And LiveCD also
provides source codes, so you needn't download it.--

I never "check", because if the check passed it's useless but if the check

I have the same problem. I founded the LFS environment in VirtualBox, and moved
it to my USB disk. I saw the same message.
Maybe there was something wrong when compiling the Linux Kernel? I don't
know...
