Have you considered XVesa? Puppy has the option to use it as an
alternative to Xorg; it's apparently supposed to be really light and fast.

Looks to my untrained eye that you are either running an old version of
touch (not 100% sure what package that is in), or you are trying to
compile it on a non-ext2/3/4/reiserfs partition. I might be completely
wrong though.

Hi Michael,
Thanks a lot! That one built perfectly, and is now detected by udev and
set up as wlan0. Tomorrow I'll look at BLFS and attempt to set up the
wifi tools. Thanks again!

PS: I assume since there isn't a BLFS 6.4 at the moment, they try to
keep the BLFS CVS reasona
compatible with this will do just fine for me.

PS: I didn't see anything about WiFi in LFS itself. Is there anything
about stuff like this in BLFS? I have to use WiFi to connect to the
internet as I am not in the same room as the router and don't really
want to move my P
