hello
I have some questions about the procedure of making LFS system?
I have not undrestood why we need toolchain to build the actual LFS system .
If the reason for building toolchain is just the tools that we need to build
the LFS system, like compiler ,Why we don't use the host system's tools ?
Hi everyone
I have a problem in section 8.4(making the LFS System Bootable, LFS 6.4)
I have two hard disks. the fisrt one is for host system as master and the
second one is for LFS as slave.
things that i did in section 8.4 was :
- - - - - - - -- - -- -- - -- - -
root :/# grub

other packages ?. if it is $LFS/sources, some packages like "Glibc-2.8",
"binutils" and many else exits. should i remove them first and then
recompile these?
thanks for any help.

Hi
first of all, thank you for your helps. I did all according to the book but,
during the compilation of "gcc" i encountered with some errors.
these are the last lines that are shown during the compilation of gcc :
# Now that we have built all the objects, we need to copy
# them back to the GC
