Usually the install process of a package is:
./configure --prefix=/usr
make
make install
Normally the patches are not available with the original package. All user
download the source code configure/compile/install it. Where can i get the
patches of the original package?

FYI -- I had to go back to step 6.7. I redid the API headers, and the the
other steps to glibc, and glibc installed fine.

gives an error, requesting to be complied against gpm. As gpm is
installed in BLFS, the key "--without-gpm" should be passed to the
configure script, in addition. All works well from there.
