Logging in after logout(no reboot!)

Hi, I'm installing LFS 6.3 using the LiveCD as ahost but I've done a lot of the setup via ssh. I've logged out and I want to log back in (again via ssh) but the system has never been rebooted. I'm not sure what gets reset after logout as opposed to rebooting. The Point I want to continue at
